« . STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK EEPORT. Bulls, July 5. Good entries came forward for our Palmerston sale on Thursday, which was very largely attended. Cattle sold better than of late, and the demand was just as good for sheep, resulting in an excellent sale of all classes of stock at satisfactory rates. Our quotations are: — Cattle— Fat bullocks, £4 7s to £5 Is ; fat cows, £3 lls to £3 19s ; fat heifers, £3 13s 6d ; fat steers, £4 Is; 3 -year steers £3 ss ; 2-year steers, £1 18s to £2 15s 6d ; empty cows and heifers, 82/- to 34/ ; broken cows, 39/-; milkers, £3 2s 6d to £4 12s ; yearling and 18-month, mixed, 22/- 1 to 28/-. ...
