REID AND GRAY'S Double Furrow Ploughs, ALSO, THEIR CHILLED DIGGING PLOUGHS, With reversible Points, Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Furrows, THE BE3T IN THE MARKET, And much lighter in draught than those of other makers. To Reid and Grey, Duntroon, May 14, 1890. The Donble-fumm Plough that you convertrd into a Digging Plough for me is giving satisfaction. It is doing splendid work. lam ploughing lOin. deep on ridgy j land with five medium horses— the ground at present being harder than I ever ext>e- j rienced owing to the continued drought. Several farmers have been looking at tb« digger at work, and have expressed themselves highly satisfied with the manner it p rforms the work. I have been ploughing on stony land with it without a single breakage; moreover, it is very easily converted iato an. ordinary Double-furrow or vice versa. _ (Signed) James B. Txylob. To Reid and Gbay Papakaio, May 30, 1890. I have much pleasnre in informing you the two Digging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the ground so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses each, antf doing four acres per day with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men say that they make a much better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does. ' (Signed) Donald Bobeik.
