A man named William Ewart Moran, charged with repeated bigamy, declared himself to be really Pierce Egan, and said he had never been ont of Australian waters from 1877 to 1889, when he shipped as assistant engineer on the Ruapehu. Received July 8, 12.20 p.m. London, July 2. William Ewart Moran, who declared his real name to be Egan, has been charged on six informations of bigamy, and it is believed there are other cases. The accused married EmmaFigg at Winoheater in March, 1887 ; acid Annie Spich, at Dover, in October, 1887. Both these women are in Australia, and the Treasury desire to obtain their address. Moran asserts that he was imprisoned m Wanganui in March, 1881, under the namejof Sidney Egan. . (
