FEILDING 2nd v. TURAKINA Ist.
The Feilding second fifteen have not started their career this season like the senior players, being defeated the first time of asking by the Turakina Club on Saturday last by a goal acgLa try to a try. In the first spell no score^was made by either side, although both team's goal line was endangered on several occajfons. On the kick off in the second spelrthe Turakina forwards followed up well^and' the ball when kicked by one of the visitors' backs sfruck one of 4the Turakina forwards, who easily took it over the line and touched down. Bell took the kick,; which resulted in- a gaol. Fanthorpe scored a try for Feilding, but the kick at goal was • Knox made a good run and passing the opposing backs scored another try for Turakina. The kick at goal failed to increase the score. The Feilding and Turakina forwards were very evenly matched, but the backs of the home team were superior to the visitors'.
