Kiwitea Road Board
The ordinary meeting of the above was \eld to-day. Present — Messrs Taylor Chairman), Homer, Haythorne, Ward, .ueaa, Williamson, and Gk W. Fowles. The minutes of the previous meeting vere read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. From G. Ackerman, asking permission -o fall roadline. From Robert Bredin, the same. From Hicks and Hastie, the same. From R. McKenzie, the same. From C. H. Bates, the same. From J. A. and E. Bailey, the same. From Volley Collison, the same. From Herbert Rowland, asking the iame of Volley Collison to be put on rate roll instead of his. From C. S. Potts, re felling the bush on die School Reserve, Apiti. From Neil Buchanan, applying for payment for felling 30 chains of road. From Duncan McKenzie, re a drive or stope on Davis' cutting (read at previous meeting). From A. Seatory, stating he had not succeeded in letting the felling of roadline in front of section No. 5, Block XI., Poliangina. From W. Wickens, asking permission to fall a totara tree standing m front of his section. From W. Martin, asking permission to plant a live fence on his section on Kimbolton road. From J. Pask, re a contract on |the Mangaone road. From H. Fowler, asking the name of W. H. Salter to be put on roll. From F. Newman, asking his name to be put on the roll. From Oldham Bros., re condition of the Main Cross road. From certain settlers on the Feilding Small Farm Block, asking permission to erect a gate. Proposed by Mr Williamson, seconded by Mr Ward, That the Engineer be instructed to have three ratas cleared from the continuation of Sinclair's line. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Homer, seconded by Mr Haythorne, That permission be granted to Messrs Hewitt, Bailey and McKenzie to fell roadlines applied for on the Board's usual terms ; also that the name of H. Salter be placed on the rate roll in place of H. Fowler for section 8, Apiti, Block Xll.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Ward, seconded by Mr Haythorne, That Mr Ackerman be granted permission to fell the whole of the roadline on Murray's track adjoining his land on the Board's usual terms ; also that Mr Bredin be granted permission to fell the road on Pararorangi road leading to his section on the Board's usual terms. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Fowles, seconded by Mr Lucas, That this be an instruction to the Engineer to get that portion of Bryce street, Apiti, from Main road to School Reserve, stumped and formed as soon as possible. — Carried.
