A curious case has been beard m tbe Napier R.M. Court. Some time ago a traveller named Moreton brought an action agaiust the Union Steamship Com pany for the loss of a portmanteau. He claimed £55 and recoyered judgmeut for £20. His solicitor, Mr Cresswell, handed him £12 9s, the balance being retained for costs in excess of. the amount allowed by the Court. Moreton has now brought an action agaiust Mr Cresswell for the amount retained. Judgement was reserved. Certainly the best medicine known is 1 Sandeb and Sons' Eucalypti Extract.
