Islington/* The black flag was hoisted at eight o'clock. s The prisoner mid his wife, whoLwas 45 years his junior, were married in 1883, _md there were five, children living. They had' led a most unhappy life together, and latterly Neal became very jealous'' of his wife and a man.named Day, with whom phe had lodged last year for two months while ber husband was in gaol ; for having committed an assault on her mother. After- his discharge the prisoner repeatedly: threatened to take! his wife's life.. _)l few day? before the murder they went to live at^St. Peter's : street,. Islington. They returned home on-p night about midnight, and about nine o'clock the following morning they quarrelled. The woman was subsequently discovered to have been stabbed in the throat and other parts pf the^body.. .^he was reuaoved to the hospital, and died shortly afterwards The murderer, "wa» triced at the Old BailiSy on *£he Bth. inst., and being fou bd jguilty was sentenced to death. Before Neal, was eiecu ted he ,made the following will : 'Newgate prison. t-. 1, FiThomas N eal, now lying under een tence of death, in Newgate prison by this will and testament bequeath to Joseph, Av Webb, 2, Sylvester road, Hackney,' .
