Prices on the whole were in favour of the vendors and we had spirited bidding for all descriptions of cattle with the exception of milch cows. Sheep were also well competed for, and all lota made satisfactory prices. One line of good 2. 4. and 6- tooth ewes making 12s (id, the top price for the. season. , We have an active demand for good and shorn wethers and hoggets. Pigs were yarded in full numbers and meet rather a dull sale:— ._ -■-..: Cattle— at Feilding: 2-year-oKS ' steers, £2 ss; fat bulloeka, £4 15b. At Palmerston : 3J and 3 year- old steers, £2 18s and £3; 18- monthsold steers, 32s 6d and 38s j cows nearly fat, £2 10s ; beifers, £2 ; weanew, 7s 6d and lls. At St. Hillstreet: Fat cows, £2 6s and £2 14s; good store cows, 29s and 32s 6<i ; steers, £2 ss. L Shbbp — At Feilding: iVairarapa ewer 6s 6d and 9a 4d ; other ewes, 5s an 16s 6d ; 2-tooth ewes, lls 3d. At Palmerston : Feeding ewes, up to 7s 6d ; empty ewes, 7s to 8e ; lambs, 4s 6d to 7s.
