Kiwitea Road Board
A meeting oftheatove Board warheli to-day. Present— Messrs Taylor (chair- .'; man), Haythorne, Homer, Lucas, and Gv W. Fowles. Proposed by Mr Lucas, seconded by Mr Haythorne, That Mr Taylor be elected chairman for the current year. — Carried, In proposing this resolution Mr Lucas passed a'high compliment on the efficiencydisplayed by Mr Taylor: Mr Taylor said, in reply, thai he would * always dp his best for the Board, and hoped that the ooming year would be a* pleasant as the one just closed. Mr Taylor then resumed the chair. COBKESPONDENUX. : ' From Charitable Aid Board r Wftng*nui, stating the value of the Board for rating was £237,594, and the amount levied £17 16s 4d for Hospital, and £2fk 18s lid for Charitable Aid. ' From Commissioner of Crown Lands,, re certain section* wrongly given in the* Receiver's List, and advising the plans to be amended. From 8. 0. Hartley, asking what arrangement can be made re felling bosh in front ot section 22, Ongo. From J. H. Waugh, re felling a roadC line. From J. 8. Harrison, the same. From J. H. Breden. the same.
