A terrible calamity has occurred through the burning of a lunatic asylum at League Point. No less than 150 of the. unfortunate inmates perished in the flames. There were 1300. patients in the League Point asylum. Hundreds were paralysed by fe.ar, and resisted attempts to rescue them. Several firemen were injured.
