Wirth's Circus
Thr circus last night was literally .crowded, and we understand that nearly two thousand persons paid for admission. Visitors from all parts of the djstnci'were* . present, and everybody was" well satisfied . with the show. The several performer*. "actad tip to their paper/ that la, they performed the feats illustrated in ' the* advertisements and placards, which is the* . first time that has been done in the colony. At the conclusion of the performance it was announced that in ,abonfc seven or eight months the proprietory ■ would visit Feeding with the lamou* show of the' Wild West, which is nowhaying socb a run in Europe under the> direction of the heroic Buffalo Bill. This: announcement was- received with load applause. The troupe left for Palmerston this morning, where they will play every night up to Saturday, on which day .. they will also give a matinee performance i; for the . convenience of settlers in th» country districts. On Monday they wilt perform at Woodville, Tuesday at Waipawa, and the rest of the week in Napier, after which they will go on to AuckkmcL
