A meeting of the Committee of the Feilding Jockey Club was held last night at Mrs Oliver's Empire Hotel, Mr Walter Bailey presiding. After; the usual formal businessthe Secretary reported that the balance in favor of the Club, for the last Easter Meeting, after paying aR liabilities, was £70. It was resolved, that in future no nominations or acceptances will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amounts payable. No exceptions whatever will be made. The Club will have a definite answer from Mr Turner this week re fresh site for a course. After passing the stakes and accounts the meeting adjourned. Forty-eight nominations have been received for the . Canterbury Champagne Stakes, 1890. This is ten fewer than last year, but most of the prominent owners are representedAmoiigst the nominations for the Hutt Hack Meeting on the 26th instant, Mr Jackman's Aotea 'appears in the list for the Hurdles and the Welter Handicap.
