'■■ ♦ . —A : (Continued from Saturday 's- issue.) The chairman said that although Mr Macarthur had resigned he remained chairman until next meeting. Resolved that the application of. Joseph. Belfit for an allowance of : £5 18s 5d for lifting and repairing a bridge on Taonui road cannot be entertained, :'■ Proposed by Mr Purkiss, seconded by Mr Lethbridge that ,S. BrayV and A?. Green's deposits on contracts, metallihg- '■ Stoney Cieek road and bridge contract No. l r be returned.— Carried. Proposed by Mr Purkiss. seconded by Mr Lethbridge, That the: committee's report re accepting tenders bridge Reid's line, bridge Forlong's road, embankmeit Makara road, metalling Stoney Creek road, and bridge contracts No. 1 aud. 2 on 'Feilding-Bunhythori c road be adopted. — Carried. Proposed by: Mr Reeve, seconded by Mr Pearce, That Mr J. Collinson receive permission to fell bush on road as requested ;by him .on the Board's usual terms —Carried. ' Proposed by Mr Pearce, seconded by Mr Lethbridge, That the name of Hugh Burrell be placed on the roll instead of Mr F. Burrell for section 11, sub-division D, Manchester Block \ also, Amos Woodhead, instead oi Miss Hett for suburban section No. 46, Halcombe.— Carried. , .Proposed by Mr Reeve, seconded by Mr /Wheeler, That the Engineer ascertain if any damage haß been done to the Watershed road by sledging on it, and if therehas that those: who have damaged the road be called upon to rally repair such damage.' — Carried, • V . Proposed by Mr Purkißs, seconded byMr Reeve, That tho Engineer put in a culvert and make such cuttings as are required on Stanway road near Mr ScMapback's section.— Carried. : 7 Proposed by Mr Pearce, seconded byMr Lethbridge, That permission be given to Messrs Bailey Bros, to continue their tram as requested, and subject to the approval of the Engineer.-— Carried. Proposed by Mr Reeve, seconded by Mr Purkiss, That tenders be called for metal, ling Harrison's line. Tenders to be> in at next meeting. — Carried: ■ r - There was come general conversatioa on the subject of the damage done to th* roads by parties driving overweighted? waggons over them. The decision was that certain .restrictions be made to prevent this as much as possible. The usual monthly accounts were-passed for payment, £1726 2s 9d.
