About 4000 sheep were advertised for our sale last Thursday at Feilding ■and nearly double that number came forward and hail it not been for the courtesy of Messrs F. R. Jackon & Co. in allowing us to use their yards, we should have most reluctantly been compelled to turn away several lots. We can always make arrangements for a large sale but when stock is rushed into the yards in that manner it is unfair to all concerned. However we were fortunate enough to be able to*sell most of the stock, and the good aheep^fctlly maintained their prices, but olo%wes had a diminished tendency. Cattle, excepting some halfbred Alderney heifers, were dull of sale. At Woodville, the next day, we sold several little lines of cattle at priceß beyond what they are bringing on this coast. ;.•.,■...= -. V,.
