, A special meeting of the above was Held in the Denbigh Hotel on Saturday night. Present — Messrs Lethbridge (chairman), GoodbeKere, Eivtbn, Carr, Lance, Henry, Boake, Light, Bidley, and Elkington. The chairman: read the advertisement calling the meeting. ; , • . Mr Lance briefly explained Iris reasons for proposing an alteration in Rule 17, which reads as follows, "The qualifications for horses, at the Club's steeplechase .meeting shall be, having followed the hounds at five meets to the satisfaction of the committee." On the motion of Mr Boake, seconded by Mr Geodbehere, this rule was rescinded ' and the following substituted, " The qualification for horses at the Club's steeplechase'meeting shall be having followed the' hounds to the satisfaction of the master." ■?■:■•-■ ." This was all the business.
