(FEB UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION). Dunedin March 20. "La (Jrippe" appears to be running rapidly through 4he entire population, and when it appears in any factory it seems to go right round. The chemists and doctors are having a busy time of it. Most of the chemists are averaging about 100 prescriptions per day. Tbe epidemic made its appearance to day in the Burnside freezing works, and nearly all the employes had to knock off work. To day no serious cases are reported, most. of those who- have been seized being only laid aside for two days or bo. Wellington, March 21. " La Grippe " has already appeared in Wellington, and several cases are reported. The disease, as at Home, has also attacked a number of horses in the City. : Eebfton, This Day. . A fdrm of epidemic is prevalent here which some say is "La Grippe," but it is accompanied by violent griping pains, and purging. , Gisborne, This Day. " La Grippe " went through the Tarawera since leaving Sydney. - Nearly all the vessels' officers and men suffered from mild influenza.*
