A memo was received from the* Education Board with voting paper for the election of three members of the Board. The following were the candidates: — G. S. Bridge; Waveriey ; J. Notman, Wanganui ; R. E. Beokett, Marton ; Wi -/Williams, Stratford; T. Hritcheson, Hawe'ra > and A. G. Brett, Normanby. Each of theee-gentlemen wrote soliciting the vote of the committee, and the choice fell upon 'Messrs Bridge, Notman and Beckett. ■ It was resolved, That the committee regret they are not in 1 a position at present to do anything in the matter of the proposed purchase of the adjoining acre seotiori,- aud recommend ■' that the matter be dealt with by the incoming committee. Resolutions were also passed as follows t^—That the committee hold a final meeting re the picnic* on Tuesday next; That the communications received from -Mrs Lissaman be forwarded to the Board ; That the sum of .£lO be advanced !on account to the contractor for the shelter sheds.
