The completion of their portion of the Feilding- San don road, from West street, will be one of the most useful public works done by the Borough Council for some years, because by that means more direct communication than has hitherto existed will be opened with a large' block of settled land. Another advantage will be that "parties on pleasure bent" can have one of the pleasantest and most picturesque drives we know of in the -"whole district, by taking the road to Awahuri, over Mount Stewart to Sandon, and back by the new road to Feilding.
