By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. (per united press association.) Sydney, March 18. The Postal Conference report has been prepared, and is of a very and technical character. It Tecommenda the i adoption of intercolonial post pal'ds.at the rate of twopence, and suggests that the rate of parcel post should be eightpence for the first pound weight and sixpence each successive pound. With re* K^rd to money orders, it is recommended that the limit should be increased from £10 to £20. The report also recommends the; compulsory registration of all letters containing money and valuables. The report of the telegraphic branch of the Conference recommends that a charge should he made for the names and addresses contained m the messages. • Melboubne, March 18. Admiral Scott, in the course of an interview with the Minister of Defence, said he had no objection to local officers joining. Imperial warships for short periods when accommodation could be provided for them, . : ' • Bbis^anb, March 18. ■: Extraordinary landslips have occurred at Rosewood, a station on the Southern . and Western Railway, 85 miles southwest, of here.' Large areas of land moved* bodily, and numerous houses were de-. stroyed. Several farms have been ruined, and fissures from 10 to 20 feet deep rent in the earth.
