The owners of the colbehes in the Bristol district and in some parts of Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire have conceded the demands' of tke men, but this only affects about 30,000 of those on strike. The number of colliers on strike has : reached 250,000. The Government declined to nominate Mr Burns as a delegate to the Berlin Conference. - . The Liverpool dock owners are employing men who were locked out by the ■ Metropolitan (Jas Company in spite of the stringent picketing of strikers.
