A Tribute to the Gear Freezing Company
A resident h> the Eiwftea, Mr William Byres, sent Home to hie- friends in Aberdeen, Scotland, a frozen lamby which readied its destination early in January of the present year. It was intended for a New Year's present, but although it wa» a few days late it was none the less welcome. In the letter acknowledging re- " ceipt of the gift, the writer say&: "I am ;.. jus> going to tell yon how we enjoye&our - dinner off the lammie you sent home. ■ We all got a bit .of it, and we all thought it Very mcc, especially my father, who eat so much that he is not hungry yet." Another of the family wrote: '" They all enjoyed their feed very much. Jack says it minded him of a roast fowl. We thought H great deal of it too, and have been livin& on it -ft* the last week." The head of the family wrote : •• The frozen lamb you Bent arrived safe and sound, but it^tes not in time for our New Yeajr dinner ; in fact^ it was the Bth .of January before- we got it. I thought there might have been something wrong with ft, so I wrote 7 to their office in London and got back & reply that it would tfr sent on next day, and it came all right. We enjoyed it very much, and thank you. heartily for it. It was perfectly fresh and-very nice."
