Feilding Hunt Club

■■. . + A committee meeting of the Feilding Hunt Club was held in Hastie'a Hotel on Tuesday night. Mr Macmillan was in the chair. Present — Messrs Saxon, Carr, Xiance, Kir ton, Roake, Ward, Elkington, Lovejoy and Goodbehere. A letter was read frpin Mr Norman Oharlton resigning his position on the committee, and the name of Mr W. Elkington was added in his place. Proposed by Mr Kirton, seconded by Mr Carr, That the members be applied to for their subscriptions.— Carried. The Secretary reported that some members of the Club had presented three new hounds, and the thanks of the Club were tendered by resolution. Mr Roake made an offer to hunt and ieep the hounds for the season for the. amount of .the subscriptions, he to pay all expenses connected therewith, provided that he be allowed to hunt the hounds outside the district on off days, subject to the approval of the Master. This offer was accepted.' The following members were elected : — Messrs Oldham (2), Gibson, Margisson, ) W. Bellve, McGrath, Gibson, Mateavers, Wpoton, Philpot, Collins, A. Elkinfcton, A. W. EidJey, Henry Lance, Alf Kidd, W. Lyhe. The question of the date and place of meeting for 'opening the season was then discussed. Mr Saxon sard he would be happy to have the first meet at his place! This offer was accepted with thanks, "the date to be the 9th of April. Mr Lance proposed and Mr Carr seconded, That a general meeting be held on %S the 22nd instant, at Light's Hotel, with the view of altering rule No 17.— Carried. This is with the intention of meeting the convenience of Wellington men. Mr Lance proposed, and Mr Carr seconded, * That the agreement with Mr B© ke be reduced to writing. — Cj r ied. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the proceedings.
