The annual general meeting: of theabove was held at the offices of the Colonists' Land and Loan Corporation, oni Saturday night. MrH L. Curtis, Sherwill, Goodbeherej. Haybittle. Mr Beattie la-id before- the meeting thefact that the drainage^ from flaxmills was polluting- the Oroua river to the probabledestruction of the trout. He was unable, to lay any data before this meeting as he- • had no time to-gather reliable information^ but he expected to.be able to report at another meeting; In the meantime th& matter was allowed to stand over- for consideration should occasion arise. After passing the usual accounts themeeting adjourned.
