York Farm Handicap.— Niobe, Te Ata, Slip, Vision, Christmas, Kathleen, Pyra- j rnus, Retrenchment, Donald,.. Oaklands, Crofton, Despised, Valentine, Jupiter, Ngatokorua, Hiamoe, Propellor, Nutmeg. Welter Handiqap. — Lucy Glitters, Waiter, Mona, Pyramus, Moirangi, Nap, Donald, Delphine, Ros, Despised, Jupiter, Ngatokorua, Hiamoe, Rere, Asper (late Butcher Boy), Nutmeg, Tui.
(Notes by "Maxim.") The Wanganui Jockey Club wiH hold their Autumn meeting on Thursday and Friday. Although the acceptances are not up to the usual average the meeting promises to be a successful one, as Christchurch, Auck'and and Nap!er will be represented by their best nags. The entries for the two-year-old races are exceptionally good. Following are my selections for the different events : — First Hurdle Race — Oddfellow. Hack Hurles — Colonel or Donald. Wanganui Cvp — •' Patchwork ... ... ... 1 Hilda 2 Dndu ... .... ... ... 3 Two-year-old Stakes — Pygmalion or Thackeray. "Welter Handicap — Foxton. Hack Flat — Cheque. (The owners have refused an offer of £750 for this horse, says the Wang. Chronicle). Derby — Tirailleur.
