Notwithstanding the unadvised contiigumt'nts of tut cattle arriving- at the last moment which largely increased the supply at Johnsouyille to-day, a brisk demand existed for all that came forward. The quality for the tnost part wa^ good, and in this respect an improvement upon late supplies, ivhiciti accounts for the firm tone that pe vailed ihroughout the day. Shaep came forward in fewer number ; the quality, however, was good. Inferior lambs in their wool made full Values, liotnuey Marsh lambs were dull of sale. Pigs mustered numerously, which .were in good demand at late rates. At Otaki, on Saturday, Bheep came forward freely, and, with the exception of a portion of the lambs Were quitted at satisfactory rates The annual draft of Mr KehbeU's purebred Rom ney Marsh rams were well'competed for and disposed of at prices tanging from 1 to of guineas, aver* aging nearly If- guineas ; on account of other vendors, odd lets of ell rams, 10s to 20b. We quote at J.hnstmvilie— Fat bullucks ranged from £4 los, £5 4s, and £5 ; light heifers, £2 15s to £3 16s, averaging £2 14s sd. Fat sheep — Wethers, lls; fat ewe?, 9s Id to 4d ; lambs, in wool, 4s 4d to 6s; two-tooih Mtore ewes, 75 % ; Komuey Mavah rams, 12s to 32s 6d. Pigs— Baconers, 23s to 345; porkers, 18s to 22s 6d ; others, 15s to 1 7s 9d ; stores, 8s 6d to 13s; small 5s 6d to 7s 6d. At Otaki — Fresh eight tooth store ewes, 5s 7d to 6s 6d ; two tooth ewes, 8s sd ; shorn lambs, 4s to 5s 3d ; small two tooth ewes, 6s to 6s 3d ; culs, 4s.
