Marshall Memorial j Stakes, of 250 soys; 6 furlongs.— Merrie England, Sst 121 b, 1 ; Freedom, 7st, 2 ; Wolverine, 9st 71b, 3. Won by half a length after a fine race in lmin 18isec. Dividend, £1 10s. The Hopeful Stakes fell to Investigator, paying a dividend of .£ls 7s. Miss •George won., the Flying, with Quickstep 2nd, Apres Moi 3rd ; dividend, .£ll 10s. <3aptain Cook appropriated the Consolation, Mon Loup and La Rose filling the places ; dividend, £16 16s.
