Supreme Court Sittings
(PEE UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION) Chkistchubch, February 24. At the Supreme ' Court criminal sit' tings, true bills were found in all cases on the calendar. The following prisoners were convicted, and sentenced: — Ernest Bobson, breaking into and stealing larceny as a bailee, 18 months' hard labour ; Maurice Fitzpatrick, larceny, three years' penal servitude;: Charles Leslie Fleming, forgery and uttering, ■ nine months' hard labor ■;;■ Henry ; Bedi ford, larceny from a: dwelling, " nine months' hard labeur ; James Cotter and George Alexander, robbery with violence, - three years' penal servitude; James Bang,, robbery from the person, 13 '■•■ months' hard labour ; John Kemp, larceny, six months' hard labour ; John O'Brien pleaded guilty to larceny from a dwelling, and sentence was deferred. Gisbourne, February 24. J. H. Topping was acquitted at the Supreme Court' for arson ; Keinara for horse-stealing* was' sentenced, to twelve months in Auckland gaol. ' Peta Man- .' kma pleaded guilty,, to -.forgery; and was| sentenced to six months, imprisonment ; Behama Paipa, six months for killing a cow. __________
