_ — .^_ — . The annual general meeting of the Feilding Football Club was held in the Empire Hotel on Saturday night. There was a moderately good attendance, but owing to. the want of punctuality on the part of several members whose presence was required, business was not commenced until 8.30, half an hour after the advertised time. Mr Kirton was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last annual ti nil special meetings were read and confirmed. The following officers were then elected : President, Mr F. Y. Lethbridge ; vicepresidents, Messrs P. Bartholomew and William Bailey ; secretary and treasurer. Me Strachan ; captain, Mr B. Whisker ; deputy captain, Mr A. Gregory ; managing committee, Messrs C. Bray, Fowler, Iveson, A. Parr, Booth, Keightly and Saywell. . Proposed by Mr Bray, seconded by Mr Halcombe, That the managing committee appoint a match committee of three members. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Fowler, seconded, by Mr Keightly, that the annual subscription be 5s. — Carried. Mr Fowler reported that he was authorised by Mr Donnelly to state that the latter would, at the end of the season, present the best all round player with a chain and medal. Proposed by Mr Fowler, seconded by Mr Benson, That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded Mr Donnolly for his munifi- , cent gift. — Carried.' Mr R. Whisker, in a neat speech, returned thanks to the members for their having elected him captain. He hoped the club would be as successful this year as it had been during the laet year. ;He urged upon the members the necessity of rolling np to practice. In responding to a vote of thanks to the chairman, Mr Kirton recommended punctuality of attendance at meetings. This was all the business and the meeting closed. > ___________
