Since dip day a " boom," to use an American slang expression, has set in and prices have advanced in some <cases 30 per cent. This is by a demand for luatre goods alpacas, mohairs, briilantines, and a lot of other names. It looks hke old times again, and if this fashion should continue, the question will be asked. How much long lustre wool does Great Britain produce ? To our farmers this is a serious question, and one weli deserving their Attention, for it ie a well known fact that during the last ten years very large flocks have been turned from Long wools into half-breds by crossing the Leicester, Lincoln, and Cotswold ewes with Hampshire, Stropshire, and other Down tups.
