The fourth prize was won by Mr Wm. MaeDougall. Mr Benson is in negotiation with theGovernment for the supply of rifles, which are expected to come to hand. in time for the next practice, which is proposed to be held at Easter. . In the evening a concert was held in . aid :of the school funds. The concert opened with a play called " Two heads are better than one," aad this was so creditably given by local amateurs as to elicit frequent applause from the audience. After the conclusion of the play a number of songs and recitations were given, all of which were well received, most of the uerformers being encored. Financially speaking the concert was a great success, A dance was held after the entertainment and .the young people footed it merrily till "■ day dawnedj when all went home well pleased with the day's amusement. .
