Proposed by Mr Lucas, seconded by Mr Taylor, That tenders to be in in a fortnight be called for metalling 40 chains on Pollock's road, 40 chains on Zigzag road, metal to be spread by road men, to be accepted by Engineer and warden.—Carried. O'Leary throwing up the contract on the Oroua Valley road he forfeits his deposit and the next tender be. accepted as agreed to by the chairman and Mr Fowles, the work to be carried out as far as the .£2OO will admit.— Carried. • ' Proposed by Mr Lucas, seconded by Mr Taylor, That the application of J. Proposed by Mr Lucas, seconded by Mr Fowles, That the advertisements which are required for the Foxton Special Settlement loan be advertised in the Feilding Stab, and that a post card be sent to ratepayers. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Shannon, seconded by Mr Williamson, That- the Commissioner of Crown Lands be informed that the road cleared by the Government at the commencement of the Waitapu ward has been' stopped by Mr McLaren, who purchased from the Government the cemetery reserve which the road runs through and if Mr McLaren insists on stopping the road' it wfll be impossible for anyone residing on that road to get into their sections, die Board wish to know what is to be done in the matter, also, if the-ireserves n the Waituna Valley road have been Uftzetted for public purposes.— Carried.
