The demand was less active l than last week ; prices therefore re- i «eded somewhat. Veal calves were dull of sale. Fat sheep in average supply; sound, useful wethers, which 1 however, were rather uneven in size, ] being among those penned.- Competition for this class' of stock was ■ also easier. We quote :— . Cattle— Bullocks, £4 12/6 to £5 - 17/6; average, £5. Veal calves, 5/6 to 12/. Sheep— Fat wethers, 10/3; fat «wes, 7/5 to 9/2 ; 2-tooth breeding ewes, 8/4. p IGS — Large baconers, £2 to £2 10/- ; others. 28/- to 35/- ; good pork«re-, 20/- ; large stores, 18/. ; others, 13/6. Ox beef, 12/6 to 13/> the lOOib; wether mutton, If d per Ib ; ewe do, lid.
