Apiti
About 1300 acres of bush has been felled 'on the Feilding Small Farm Block this season, and Apiti claims to fee ahead of all the neighboring small farm settlements in this respect. Our correspondent informs us that there will be a fine opening there, and round about, next planting season for nursery gardiners about Feilding and Wanganui, to dispose of young fruit trees, and an auction sale there would be a fine pay-ing spec, i£ the man who grew the trees was known a bit, and the settlers were told when he was coming. The pluck of Messrs F. B. Jackson and Co. in making a start of selling stock at Birmingham is much admired.
