(George Thomas and Co. report produce prices as follows :—Business is restricted in grain, owing to-the near approach of the new season's products: with a feeling that lower prices will rule: present values are on a par with last week's quotations, which wesimply repeat. Oats command but little attention, 2/2 being the outside realisation; oatmeal, £12 j straw chaff • £2 15/- to £3; sheaf, £* 10/.; roller flour, £9 6/n; stoDe dc~, £8 5/- to £& 10/-; whole fowls' wheat, 3/-; bran r £3 5/-; pollard, £3 IQf-; wheatmeal r £9.5/-; feed barley, 3/- ; pearl barley, £19 ; blue peas, 4/3; split peas,.---1- ; maize, 3/6 j round potatoes,, . 8/-; kidneys, 3/6 ;. onions, 7/- cwt ; hums and bacon, factory, 7jd ; farmers' cure from 3d to-4d \, cheese, 44 to 5d ; honey, 4^d to 5d per lb ; lard, 4d; eggs (over-stecked), ruling at "\ 17^d to 8d per doz. A -fair inquiry has excited for fruit, which has arrived from alt parts. Sydney lemons areloff, and the same may be said of [Melbourne plums; a quantity of apples from the latter city was condemned, as being affected with codlin • moth ; Nelson apricots are in good demand, as also are Auckland peaches grapes, and nectarines. Poultry is now without any demand, fowls offering at 2/3 ; geese, 5/- to 5/6 ;, ducks, 3/- to 3/6 ; turkeys, 6/6 per pair. :
