(per united press association.) Wellington, This Day. No one here seems to have felt the earthquake which was experienced at Feilding, Woodville and Masterton on* Sunday. The recorder at the Museum j gave no indication of any shock. Captain Russell left by the early train I for Wanganui on private business. He will probably return to-morrow HokiTiKA, December 17.. At Larrikins, near Kumara, a miner named Norman McLeod was found dead. It is stated that the deceased, who was fossicking, was seen by some men in tbe same position on their return from dinner as whan they went to it, and on proceeding to the spot they found life extinct. The rush at the south , side of the Hokitika River, m the borough, is again turning out well. The prospects are 4dwts to the load. The wash dirt is 2£ft thick, and 90ft sinking. Oamabtt, December 16.
