'But our contemporary has ignored the fact of Dr MoNck.TON having, at the same meeting also, given uofice of motion to consider the best method of separating *' the old man incubus" from au establishment furnished for treatment of patients. If the latter motion is. adopted and given effect' to, the present hospital building will meet all the requirements of the Wangauui district for many years, to cume, and at the same time get rid of an expensive method of maintaining indigent old age, by the substitution of a more moderate system The necessity for a new buildiug trill thus be removed.
