Masonic Installation

As St. Andrews's Day 7 fellon a Satur-, day this year the' annual installation ol officers of the Kil winning Lodge was postponed till la9t. Monday,- Dec. 2nd. The attendance was large, visitors being present from Waverley, Patea, Feilding, and Mar ton, together with ■ members of the sister lodge in Wanganui. On the dais there, were the following P.M.s :— Bros Tripe, Spiirdle, Cottle,. Bush, .Tutty, Wm. L.' Bailey (W.M. Feeding. Lodge,) Mannestead (Manawatu), Sewell, Russell, Carroll, Williamson, Foster, Keesing and Hughes. The lodge was tyled at 7.30 and after the opening the installing officer, P.S.G.D. Bio. J. L. Stevenson, was received and duly installed iv an unpres&ive inariiier the !R-W.M. Bio. the Hou. J. Bailance, P.M. Bro Keesing acting as M%O» and 1 carding through his .portion of the duties in a very able , manner. Bro. the Ttev Mr Dewsbury officiated as chaplain, Bro. E olden as choirmaster, and Bro. Steven son as organist, the eeivice being full choral. After the usual ceremonies the lodge was closed, and an adjournment Waa made, to tfle supper room wfcere an excellent spread had been prepared Toasts and harmony followed the banquet and an enjoyable evening _was spent.— Herald.
