TO THE KDITQH OF THE STAR
Sir, — Dr Monckton must evidently have taken his defeat at the late election greatly to heart. I was surprised to hear from my son this morning that he was no longer to call for orders at the Doctor's house. I cannot put this down to anything else but the fact that I didn't support Dr Monckton at the late election, as I had done at the previous one, inasmuch as I have supplied him,..partly, with meatsince 3rd August, 1886, no complaint-, having been made as to the manner i i which he waß,being/snpplie.d. .1 thank I)r Monckton"' for past favors, ' 'however.
