(PER PItESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunkdin, October 17. It appears that a geutleman sent to Mark Twain (Mr S. L. Clemens) ;i paper containing the observation* made last session by Mr Kerr in connection with the chamois, iv which Mark Twain was quoted as an authority. A reply has beei r« ieved from Mr Clemens, stating the cutting has afforded him the heartiest laugh he has had this year. The incident, he says, shows the danger of a man acting in a responsible public capacity being imperfectly up iv the didactic literature of his time.
