AUSTRALIAN NEWS.

By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright, I J'ISR UNITED PltKSs ASSOCIATION ' Melbourne, October 17.

Now that the Premier has accomplished the feat of setting the finances ot the Colony in order there are probably people who begin to think that the time for farther political experiments has arrived. The Argus adds it will probably be found, if the experiment is tried, that the less political squabbling the Colony has for a year or two the more solid will its prosperity become.

Sydney, October 18
