Beconstruction of the Ministry
The reconstruction of the Ministry, 'which has for some time been ex pected,. was definitely settled on Tues day. It proceeds upon the line which vre have^alreade indicated as probable, the Premier^handing over the Post-master-Generalship to Mr Mitchelson, who handover: Public >; Works to Mr Fergus, who in his turn hands over Justice, and Defence 'to Captain Russell, the last-named gentleman also becoming Colonial . Secretary, while Mr Richardson 'relinquisiies the Mines Department" to Mr Fergus, but undertakes the i/ne.WvpbrtfqUp of Agriculture^ Mr Hißlpp taking Education and Oharitaiile Aid. The Government as reconstructed will therefore be as follows : — '*■ Sir Harry Atkinson. — Premier, Colonial Treasurer, Commissioner of Stamps and Customs, and Minister of Sib Frederick ,/Whitaker.— Attorney General.
