The wool series closed very strong, and the highest prices were obtained," except for faulty merinos. Good scoured was a half-penny to a penny more than the closing prices at last series. The outlook is promising, as stocks are small and there is not a single bale of combing at Antwerp. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 15th instant^— Wool. — The Sales closed firmly to-day. The following advance in the various sorts may be noted as haying taken place since close of the last sales : — Greasy menno, -Jd to Id per lb ; combing washed, Ad to Id per lb; scoured. merino, Id per lb ; fine B'inured crossbred, Id per lb ; coarse greasy crossbred, $d per lb ', scoured menno lambs, £rl to Id per lb;j greasy crossbred lambs, £d per ib. The Bales comprised about 223.000 bales; 3000 have been h«ld ov«r for futurei disposal, ; and 1 10,000 have been taken for export; ' ' '.'; :. : :
