There was a very large attendance ' of buyers at Messrs Freeman E. Jack- • son and Go's, sale of Barber's cattle ; on Saturday buyers being present from all parts of the district. The 1 bidding was spirited throughout and very satisfactory prices were realized. ', Every lot in the yards was disposed of at the following quotations : — Three-year-old steers, £2 13/- to £3 12/-; cows, from 33/- to 38/- ; old cows, 20/- to 23/6; yearlings heifers, 10/6 to 12/-; yearling steers, 17/6; 18---months heifers, 20/6 ; 18 months bteers, 35/6. — Manawatu Times.
