_^J o Mr Peter Thompson has just receiyed a consignment of sheep shears in great variety. The Feilding Masonic Lodge will meet at tlie li'oresters' Hall on Monday the 7th of October. Notice of transfer of a section in Apiti from Frank Walden to It. S. Reid is published to-day. Footballers are reminded of the meeting to be held to-night at the Empire Hotel • at 7 o'clock sharp, A meeting of the newly-formed cricket club will be held at Light's Hotel on Thursday evening next. Bushmen will be interestod to know that Mr John Phillips, of Woodlands, Kimbolton road, has fifty acres of bush to %11. in addition to the furniture sale on the 10th inst., on account of Mr W. H. Fletcher, Messrs F. R. Jackson & Co. will ilso dispose of the household furniture md effects, including piano, washing nachines, &c, of Mr Lambert, who iB .caving the district.
