Splendid weather was experienced for the concluding day's racing of the Australian Jockey Club's Spring Meeting, and there was a very large attendance. The following are the results of the principal events : — Members' Handicap ; 1 mile 1 furlong. — Signapore, 9st 51b, 1 ; Little Bernie, 7st 91b, 2 ; Clyde, 9st 51b, 3. A grand race. Won by a head. Time, lmin. 57sec. Steeplechase ; about 3 miles. — Peter Osbeck, list 81b, 1 ; Artist, 9st 31b, 2. Ten horses started, and Don, 9st 71b, after a great race, came in first a neck ahead of Peter Osbeck, but a protest entered by the latter's jockey was sustained, and the race was awarded to Peter Osbeck. Tirue, 7min. 7sec. Ellerdale won the Waverley Handicap from ten others. Randwick Plate, 3 miles ; weight-for-age. — Abercorn, 1 ; Melos, 2 ; Manton, 3. Four horses started. Won easily in smin. 35sec.
