Robinson's estate was sworn under £350,000, and is left to his daughters for life, afterwards to their children. Mr 0. Murray, of Melbourne, has instructed Mr Joynt, barrister, to enter an action against the executors of the late Mr W, Robinson, as he alleges that he purchased the horse Merrie England from them by wire, and that they accepted his offer and condition. They subsequently found that these conditions could not be fulfilled, and thereupon deeming Mr Murray's sale off sold him to Vernon Musgr'ove and J. A. Randall for £1000. Mr Kees, who has been prospecting the ground of the Greymouth Dredging and Washing Company, in which English capitalists are about putting machinery, struck a layer of red gravel sft thick with very payable coarse gold. It is believed that a man with a cradle could make £1 a day at it. The ground is a swamp and was never tried before. After long consideration it has been decided to build a bucket dredge to work with in preference to a sand pump. The coal export for the week is 2978 tons.
