Wreck of the Huia
Wellington; September 20. The efforts made last evening to float the Huia, which grounded in the Manawatu River on Wednesday, were nnsnc cessful. Captain Behdall, Marine Surveyor to the Underwriter's Association, left for the scene by this afternoon's train, in order to superintend operations. He took with him anchors, hawsers, and. other nece siry (rear, injkdiig pumps, which will be us; d in case of emergency.
