St. John's Church
The dedicatory Rervice held in St. John's Church last night was well nt- ' tended, not only by members of the congregation but of all other denominations, in the 'district. The service was opened by the- choir singing - H\ nan 431, after which the' Eev. A. Hermon -read the prayers. The Bey. Mr dark; ofPatea. and the Eev. W. H. Kay/ of Hawera; read the Ist and 2nd lessons respectively The Bey. O. Williams delivered a most impressive sermon from the text Bey. VII ' verses 10 to 16, in the course of which he ' made touching allusion to the late Mrs ' Herman. rt i .* '„ " The tablet which is erected to the affectionate memory of the deceased lady, by theladi6;ofthe con S Tegation, is of whits ) marble suitably .inscribed.
