Sydney, September 14. The following are the results of the second day's races : — Hawkesbury Produce Stakes, one mile and a half. — Rudolph, 1 ; Alchemist, 2. These were the only starters, and the son of Martini-Henry won as he liked. Time; 2min. 27sec. Hawkesbury Grand Handicap, of 400 soys ; one mile and a half,—^Ellerdale, 6st 121 b, 1 ; Touchstone, 6st 101 b, 2 ; Minstrel Boy, 6st 121 b, 3. Sixteen others started, the betting on Ellerdale being 4 to 1. Won rather easily by a neck. Time, 2min. 37£ sec. Two-year-Old Stakes, half a mile. — Maroubra, 1 ; Queensliff, 2 ; The Miner, 3. Won easily. Time, 51 l-sth sec. Sydney, September 16. For the Met.-opoli ai Stakes, all the uaonoy available is taken about Abereorn at 5 to 1, after which 4 to 1 was the best offer against him. Eiljrdale has been backed o win .£'3ooo at sto 1, and a similar amount has been taken about Wycornbe's chance, after which both cl jsed at 4to 1.
