Frank Lincoln
It will be seen by advertisement lhat the great Mr Frank Lincoln, who has completed a phenomiually successful tour through Australia, and lately created such a furore in Wellington, will appear in the Assembly Rooms here on Wednesday and Thursday next, tho 18th and 19th instants. 1 As a complete consensus of complimentary criticism on Mr Lincoln lias already been published, emanating not only from the leading journals of the day, but from royalty itself, and also from eminent personages of all ranks and profession, it would be mere waste of time and space for us to attempt further to describe a man whose equal, by general consent, has never visited the Colonies, if indeed he can be found anywhere. An American humorist, who by the press of his own country is acknowledged to be ahead of Artemas Ward or Mark Twain, must be indeed a wonder, and as a leading Australian paper puts it — " inexpressibly funuy, absolutely irresistible," We are quite sure that as the Feilding public knows how to appreciate a really first class entertainment, Mr Lincoln will have a very large patronage. As a big crowd is expected, a few reserved seats will be provided, tickets for which may be obtained of Mr Carthew. We would advise all who wish to avoid the crush to book early, tearing in mind that when Mr Lincoln was in Wellington, hundreds were turned away nightly fron* his entertainment for lack of room.
